sup folks,
you all have really been getting my head around this mpc and it's been making a big difference for me. My question is if I want to sample my scratching along with my sequences then I just play the sequence while i'm sampling the turntables, but after I sample lets say 2 bars of scratching
and I want to get it in sync with my sequence is the only option to use patch phrase?, not that there's anything wrong with it I just haven't learned it yet.
or is their another way that you prefer... is there a way to just trim the 2bar scratch to the parts I want and then slice it so that it plays along with the sequence with-out me having to hit the pads to trigger the slices?

this sounds like a job for the direct record stuff.

can't you just direct record into a track while your sequence is playing? then everything is in time and no assigning to pads etc is necessary.
