truncate end of sequence

hi ok so im wondering i couldnt realy find anything in the search option

so i want to know how you can make samples stop at the end of a sequence because some samples like a long bass and other stuff keep on playing until they are finished in the next sequence .

and i would also like to know how you can make for example a sound cut for example 2 bars at the end of a sequence

is there no other way ?

i mean like if you want to let some samples cut off 2 bars before it ends you have to cut evey sample egain ?

go to program mode, then put the selection on level(volume) and then press window : you can set delay

OR

you go to step edit. select the track where your record data is on ; then edit the delay for the event.

OR you could have one empty pad whit the same mutegroup as the samples to cut em off

how u do that

you got to program then press params and then you see mut target at the bodom

so you first select the sound you want to cut off in program then you go to params and go to mute target then press an empty pad so when you press that empty pad that other sound you wanted to cut off cuts off

hope you understand a bit im realy bad at explaining things in english

The other (my preffered method) way you can do it, is to use mute groups. If you set a sample to a mute group with another sample, when the sequence changes, the new sample (set to the same mute as the long bass or whatever) will mute the previous sample and they won't run into each other. If those samples don't work together as mute groups (musically) just set an empty pad in programs to that mute group and it will still mute the previous sample.
Mute groups is a HUGE feature, if you're not using it, check up on it. hope that helps.
