Easier ways to delete samples?

I guess my card is full,and every time i try to load a sample it says INSUFFICIENT MEMORY.


I tried purge but it says there no samples unused.

Do i have to clear my whole memory and then transfer all the samples i want to use via usb again?

sometimes if you delete samples via USB instead of backin them up them then deleting then in the SAVE page, yr flash card flips out and they still exist in terms of used memory.

this happened to me a bit, flash cards can be really corruptable and get all fussy on ya.

the only way to reverse this is to back up yr whole card then format it and start again. the other cats on here been calling that the 'refresh' technique i believe.

get a harddrive. it's rad.

You guys need to learn the difference between RAM memory (the MPC's internal memory that it loads sounds into to play them) and STORAGE memory (CF card, hard drive, the place where files are saved and stored.)

He's right, you could have plenty of room on your CF card, but if you don't have enough ram, the machine won't have the strength to load the entire project (i.e some samples won't load) To fix this, all you need to do is upgrade your internal memory (ram) to 128mb.

get a hard drive and 128mb memory upgrade
you'll pay about 15o easy, but phuck it
