Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

What do you guys think about the Mpc 2000xl effects board? is the EB-16 worth 200$? Ive heard the 2xl's effects are pretty basic. Is their a way that i can use the 8 outs to utilize a better effects module? PLEASE HELP! I have beats to submit asap and I could miss these placement deadlines!

I USE THE EFFECTS BOARD ALL THE TIME..........I USE IT TO EQ STUFF, OTHER THEN THAT IT IS USELESS........BUT, EQ'ING IS LIKE HALF THE BEAT........

when i first got eb16 i wasn't like "wow!" more "well ok, they're useable" and now kinda "i wouldn't get rid of 'em but i don't use 'em that often either"

to be fair to akai they came out at a time when dsp fx were way more expensive and wacked out crazy effects weren't that in vogue or at least people didn't expect them ... altho that's not an excuse for not updating the fx in 1000, 2500, 500 (presumably) etc

id be pretty flowers without my eb16, but then again im an inside the box type producer basically. sometimes ill bring in a keyboard sound, but usually the beats are 100% mpc2000, darth vader edition

so the effects are dope to me, but i could be buggin cause i hear dudes downin the eb16 alot. i dont know im happy with it though

its kinda outdated and wont even compare to a lexicon mpx100 but I understand some people think they need to depend on it are willingly left to the very basic setup. If you already have the output expansion than you're better off swapping the eb for a proper fx module.

i dont know i think i would invest in the 8 outs instead and Grab a Ensoniq DP/2 or DP/4 and run all your samples threw there and have the mpc2000xl run thrue the famous ASR-10 effects

Just what i got planed
