Need some help here

Hey everyone. So i installed 4.13 made a track on it while wating for my password. When i got the password i put it in and saved the track i was working on to a new folder, but all the samples that came with the mpc first day saved with it and there programs aswell. now i loaded it up again to make sure it worked, but my sequence has been moved down 2 97. and doesnt play. its like its muted or something. in program-sample all the samples have a question mark before there names?

this is very anoying considering i spent a whole day with the beat.

Well i got it 2 play there. i went into mode-load-and turned autoload of internal memory back on. but why would that have effected it? is there anyway i can just save this sequence with the samples and programs now away from all the stock shit. and just get rid of the stock sounds for good. ?? thanks again guys

When yo see a question mark in front of the sample names, it means that the sequence has loaded into memory without the samples. So you have a sequence with no sounds hence the silence. That might be because of the way it was saved; some people also think there might be some kind of load error going on. I'm not sure about that. Either way, using the SAVE ENTIRE MEMORY command for the designated load folder usually avoids this issue. If you wrote a new sequence using the internal factory samples and saved to a new folder, check to see if the same samples are actually available in that folder. If you didn't use SAVE ENTIRE MEMORY you might have to load the samples manually and re-save that way. If you loaded up the sequence and it worked after switching back to internal autoload it sorta makes sense because you know the samples are already loaded into RAM.

I've heard it's possible to overwrite (but not format) the internal flash memory, but supposedly it takes a long time to save and you don't get much space.

you have to save a blank sequence then save a program w/ a blank sample in it to internal memory. this will overwrite the factory sounds..
