Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By adrianlatino Mon Nov 06, 2006 12:14 am
How do I assign individual pads/sounds to individual tracks on the MPC? I would like to bang out my drums sounds (kick, snare, hi-hat) at once but then have them sent to their own individual tracks? I DON"T HAVE A MANUAL. Thanks.

I think you guys missed what he really asked.
Sounds lke he's asking about tapping a pattern all at once in realtime but having the pad notes show up like:
PAD1= track1
PAD2= track2
PAD3= track3.....................

Not output routing

You cant do that. But you can (easy) transport each sound to a individual track after recording it all together.

Sovereign & FHL thanks, you answered my question. Found how to transport the tracks in the manual.

Damn that would be hot if you could that. that would be a great feature for kick and snare recording.
