Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By gruber Sun Nov 12, 2006 3:30 pm
hello,
i've got a mpc2kxl and an asr10 sampler.
chopping with the mpc is much faster than with the asr10
so i would like to sample from my tt into the mpc, chop my samples and then sample it from the mpc into my asr.

is the sound in my asr now mpc-level or asr-level??
ya know what i mean?

my monitors are broken, so right at the moment i use really bad headphones to listen to my beats.
and i cant hear a difference between mpc and asr sound on them.

so is there a difference if I:
sample from vinyl to the asr10
or sample from vinyl to mpc to asr10???

please excuse my bad english.. i'm an austrian

i hope, you can understand what i mean.

thx in advance

Not sure that I understand but I would think the sound would be based on the levels you have set, the Sample Bit Rate.

I had an ASR10 years ago, and I dont remember but I think it can go up to 24Bit, but I know the MPC is 16bit. So you might hear something in that. Other than that, I can not see why the sound would be that much off.

Unless again we are talking about you in some round about way doing a resample of the sound to move it to your ASR10. With that, I would think you might drop something, but that is all I can think about.
