Hi guys,

since at home I have no mixer I have to route the mpc's audio into the computer when using both machines together, and I have some sync issues.
So, mpc 1k is the master and live is the slave.
Live control panel indicates input latency 5.33 ms, so I set the track which is monitoring the mpc to -5.33 ms in the track delay settings, but the signals are always shifted a bit, I do a test with a 4/4 kick on the mpc and the same on live and the shift is always here.... anyone with similar setup has found a workaround?

thanks

Make a fourtothefloor BD pattern in the mpc
make one in ableton live

run them both.

shift by hand until it fits.

and run the "setting up latency compensation lesson" from ableton live...

worked for me...

I use the exact same software to track into and all u have to do to fix that is insert a dead bar before everything starts to play into the computer. Also make the computer the master and mpc the slave. MTC has issues with initializing its sync right away, hence the dead bar, and for some reason its sloppier when the mpc is the master - time likes to shift around more.

mr.brown can you explain a little more. sorry to miss it but i understand "dead bar" i assume you mean and empty bar but place it where?

i have mpc as a slave to live. i adjusted the sync delay settings in live and have them synced ok while playing, except for the 1st note played when i hit play there is a delay then it syncs right up. this is fustrating when you are recording live clips because they will not sound right in play back. is there any way around this? i tried messing with the driver error settings in live but it did not do. this is giving me brain damage, i have been trying to sync the two for 2 days and this step i can not get around. any input is madly appreciated.
