sorry for a repetitive question - i'm new to the 4000

besides the samplekings stuff (i like doc but the dvd content is limited) - what video training material is available specific to the 4000? i saw the dvd for the mv and its pretty good... also, any 4000 teachers out there in los angeles?

ps - i figured out a tabletop stand for the 4000 that some of you might find useful - take a stand like a on-stage mix400 - remove the top piece - at a hardware store buy 3 furniture stops (small rubber discs) that are designed to keep sofa's from slipping on hardwood floors - place the 3 stops on a table, place the top-piece of the mix400 stand on top of the rubber stops, then put the 4000 into the top piece and adjust the top piece arms so it holds the 4000 tightly. you can even adjust the tilt by adjusting the large knob on the mix400 -and by extending out 2 other mix400 arms...

from those DVDs. the best that you could do is read hear and apply it to your hands on. ask questions too. read the tips and tricks .
finding someone that will help you in your area is good too, just stay away from those how to vids and dvd.

for instance i'm trying to record a track - i followed the user guide till page 21 paragraph 9 - but when i strike the pads there is no sound - i hear a sound in program mode with the correct program selected... -c
