THE MIDI controller keyboard for a beginner

but i've just been sampling from reason into the mpc anyways

how is the Keystation?

I tried out the Axiom yesterday at GC. Its cool I guess its ahight it just feels that the keys are cheaply made but thats just my 2 pennies.

the whole damn thing feels cheap and is cheaply made..not just the keys.. i had it two weeks and sold dat shht..

im staying away from m audio midi controllers..

my advice would be to buy a used midi controller on Craigs list , but make sure it is fully functional.

when you outgrow that upgrade to a yamaha kx88, roland a80 or a90 and get the felt replaced.

i have a oxy 8 from m audio and it works just fine

A lot of the keyboards I'm looking at only have a midi OUT jack and then a usb port or something else. Can I still use this with the mpc?

yes, but the thing u should note is that all it is is a controller, has no sounds in it
ure gonna have to buy a sound modual or have a program on ure computer with sounds in it and with a midi interface.
then to hook ure stuff up ure gonna have to put the midi out of ure controller into ure midi in of ure mpc and then midi in of ure sound modual or midi interface on ure computer in the midi out of ure mpc

u need a midi interface
not for anythin bro but u should go do some more reasearch in ure local music store
cuz i coudl keep talkin to you for days and it wont do anythin
if u wanna use ure pc as a sound modual u gotta get some sounds in ure pc first which takes programs plus u need a sound card for ure computer that has midi
