New program Pad assignment is all mixed up...

Wutup folks, this just started happening a few days ago...when I create a new program the pads are assigned to some random notes, not 35-50 for bank A, etc, like it should be. It starts A01 on note 37 and the rest are all over the place...I don't kno why its doin this...bank Ds pads are properly assigned however....any help would be greatly appreciated.....would loading a new OS or upgrading it help? just a thought thanks

i dont know where it is on the xl, but you need to find 'midi to pad assignment' and set to master. its probably set to pgm. if that doesnt work, initialize param.

right on guys...thats what i was doing to fix it. it is weird though, cause before new programs were always in chronological order and ever since i hooked up the motif rack it flipped things around. even the manual says that by default bank a is notes 35-50, b is 51-67 etc etc....i just dont get why it all of a sudden changed. after researching im thinking it has something to do with GM (general midi) anywayz thanx for the help...if any one has any other ideas please let me know ....peace

ok.. this is how i deal with that program. I have created a program where all the pads are corrected and in order and i saved it. Everytime I make a new program and add samples to it. I use that program as my base program. I add the samples to it and of course they are in midi pad order and then when i save it to my zip disc i change the name as not to override the BASE program that i always start off with. It's so easy even a caveman can do it. You should do the same for an ALL SEQU save as well.. so that u can start off with that base ALL SEQU loaded and then put your sequences to it especially if you're using midi.
