trouble looping samples

im really having trouble looping my samples from records
i play around with the start and end points but they never seem to loop back on time there always offbeat
what tricks do you guys use so your start/end points and the looping are perfect??

if your loop just isn't sounding right it may be ending too soon or getting cut off at the end, like Lamp said the best way is to keep adjusting start and end points, there is another solution that may seem simple but could work in your case.
on the main page listen to your loop if it sounds like its a little off towards the end of the loop then adjust the tempo by one tenth at a time to find a tempo that works better. Keep in mind that while your doing this you want to make sure all other parts of the loop are still on beat.

all you have to do is listen to the loop.

if the loop is already on a set tempo it should be pretty easy to sync up.

keep your loops short

you can also make several small loops out of a larger loop, sometimes

guess you gotta have a trained ear. this may work tho...

use the "play loop"pad -no.13 on the sample in trim mode.


adjust loop point ,start or end, using very small intrivals eg. 2010, 2020,2030 etc. until you think you have it. count it off...1 and 2 and..it may take some time to train your brain...its kinda instinct to me as a dj.

once you have it , record it to the sequence using its own track just for that sample. play it and listen close, does it cut off at the end where u want it?

if you still havent got it just right....do like he said and adjust the sequences entire bpm until it sounds right.
