Synth.. Direct Connection to MPC

Synth.. Direct Connection to MPC

im lloking for a asynth i can just connect to my MPC 2k, just Midi conenction, no racks, no mixers, just connect to MPC, hit rec on teh MPC and lay some keys...

here is a list of syhtn i can get my hands on for Cheeap in Japan.

Korg K61P
Yamaha S03
Roland E09 and Roland Juno D and Roland SH201
Kurzweil KME61
Roland GW7
Alesis ION
Korg microKorg

and if there is no way of connecting a Synth stright to a MPC then i guess, ill have to start looking for a new workstation...

i'm sure all of those will work

but in order to actually record the sounds from the synth you will have to have a DAW and probably a mixer of some sort.

remember that the MPC would only be triggering the sounds in the keyboard, not actually holding the sounds.

I see what u are wanting to do. You can actually do what u are asking on the Roland MV-8000. You can connect your keyboard straight to it w/o the use of an mixer or whatever. But what i recommend u do is either go with an software sequencer or add an mixer to your setup. If you get an mixer then u can sync your mpc and keyboard and have them both playing at the same time. Then all you would have to do is record your finished product.
