Digi 002 with iMac?

Anybody body using the the digi 002 with a iMac? If you are, how is it? I want to get a computer soon but I'm not sure to get the regular G4 or a fully loaded iMac. I just wanna a protools system to track my beats and not do any kind of vocal recording. Any help will be geat.

The iMac should be fine.
The Digi002 doesn't really need the all-out computer.
Since you don't plan to record vocals, that combo should be moe than enough. If fact, you could even just cop a MBox for those purposes.

By the way, I don't have a 002. I have a 001, but my buddy has one at his school. It's beautiful and sounds excellent.

I just wana say if you dont have pro tools, get that ish. then get a book on it and learn every nook and cranny and you will be making some bagin a## tracks no joke. not that you don't allready, but I said god d@@, im in love with that program. If anyone has specific Q's bought pro tools go ahead and ask cuz I want one in your home today, and the more I help the more I know.

I actually use this combo, well not exactly. I have the digi 002 and am using it in conjuction with a G3 Imac that i bought like 5 or 6 yrs ago. Even with my limited computing power it works great. I have an external hard drive set up for all my audio stuff and just use it to track beats from my mpc1000. The new Imac would be great for this, but I would reccomend a loaded G4 or G5 if you can afford it. The only reason I say this is it will be easier to expand the system in the future if you should choose to do so. Good luck with it man.

Thanks for the suggestions. Yeah, I think I will go with the G4, it's only a couple hundred dollars more than a iMac.
