When soldering the wires to for the internal card reader...

When soldering the wires for the itnernal card reader, how do I go abuot doing it? The website where they show don't tell you how to do it. Do I solder the black wire to the black wire and red wire to red wire? Which part of the wire do I solder?

Except, I don't know which parts to solder for the wires.

That looks pretty obvious to me. red goes with red and black with black just like Lamp said. Those colors are there for a reason.

the pic where the cables are taped together is what you want to solder
red-red, black-black. you're just clipping off the connector that plugged into the old floppy drive itself and soldering the wires of the new pc ide plug to the wires of the original plug that powered the floppy drive that connects to the MPC board. Solder red to red wire and black to black wire and your plugs should match the pic with the black tape. then tape as instructed.

No, I have not. Which is why I know absolutely nothing. And thanks Strategy for explaining it in detail the first time.

Well if you have never soldered b4 the I would advise you to use this contraption to splice the two powercables together:



This way you can screw the cables together, no need for soldering and/or taping.
