yo lou

i was being contructive, not an as shole. the guy never said he was a beginner to music, he said he was a beginner to making beats. i didnt say anything that was a lie. i made music in a lot of styles for about 10 years before starting to make beats (maybe 5 years ago). sure my first beats were dumb, but i wasnt going around showing them off. and i defintiely wasnt spending thousands of $$$ to make my cheesy songs when i was first starting out. that wouldve been plain stupid

ahem

and even after bringing that weak stuff, he still came back to brag about how well he's doing on soundclick (at least that's what i think he was talking about). aint nothing wrong with being a beginnner, but bragging about it is kinda lame. part of being a beginner is getting dissed by people with more experience!!! haha

I feel you but there are more tactful ways of getting your point across. I think the dude was just looking for some kind of encouragement. Now if he said he was the best damn dude to slap together a track that would be something different.

I think the dude was just trying to be positive about his work (which I think is good thing, I have a problem with maintaining positivity about my own work so I can applaud that) and he just wanted feedback from the peeps in the 1000 forum.

I just didn't feel that strongly about his behaviour!

As far as getting dissed. We all make mistakes thos were just his. I've never seen anyone get dissed that hard on this forum! Well actually I take that back! I've never seen anyone get dissed that hard on this forum about their music. Someone's art is the most sensitive thing you can criticize. I just thought those were low blows that's all.

Ya i appreciate the kind words ..i was feeling like this forum was kinda not the place for me to put my beats on just yet after reading some statements
but like i said ive only had the 1000 for a couple weeks. Ive learned piano notes cause i took piano for a year recently and thats about it.

I wanna learn effects and how to make drum roll sounds clips and what not ..the 1000 is pretty basic and I love its layout...ive connected my keyboard just today and im starting to play around with lil snips ...hopefully I can get in the groove .heh
And to the dude with the marvin gaye picture...I read how you were looking for ways to inspire yourself musicly ..now ive never really attempted this the way it should be done but...it used to work for me..
pop in a cd and turn the volume down low if ur in the room or just a lil up if ur in another room and ..well what would happen for me was i would hear crazy tunes i never heard before ..i would sing my own chorus in my head lool ..and maybe some rappin ..crazy..u should try it ...i bet it works for alot of people
what happens i think is since u cant hear the music well ur creativity comes out ..u dont focus in on the sounds and what the song wants out of u...u hear ur own stuff..i want to do that really bad now since i have learned the layout of the mpc now and i can devote my time to coming up with experimenting....well guys its been fun...im gonna get to work and im sure all of u are as well. this site is just tight..im prob. gonna read some stuff about effects or what not. PEACE
