But what i think right now is that it has everything, even if the sequencing sucks i can use like fruityloops to sequence and like sound forge to filter out parts of samples if i sample and stuff. I mean its just less work than an mpc because mpc you have to sample everything and program it and stuff. I don't see why people like mpcs.
Its pretty stupid for you to come on a MPC forum, ask for help, then disrespect our tool, which some of us are a bit edgy...
First of all you don't know anything about anything so you really arent in the position to make a qualified opinion
2nd the dudes in the store half the time don't know shit, b4 I listen to any of them I ask them to make me some music or show me some music they've done and 90% of the time they cant do it, and I found one person who is now my permanant salesman, because he def is qualified to talk me into shit, and open my mind to other possibilities only cause hes been doing this for a long time, and know what hes talking about
First of all the difference, the MPC sequencer is better no doubt about that, have you tried editing your notes after you play it on a workstation?Oops forget no... n/m, the quantize features, in depth sample editing, no comparison really (the current market, waiting on the FantomX to see how it gets down)
Considering you havent even made any songs yet, I'm sure it seems way more appealing for you to have all the sounds laid out infront of you, cause you have no idea about sample cds, vinyl, sample kits for sale, free sample kits, blah blah on and on
Its basically this you get a mpc and if your a noob you have no sounds at all and have to put in a little extra effort to get sounds, seems a little more daunting than just buying a workstation and comming with all those preloaded SAMPLES (thats right your triton are filled with samples and advanced programming to get the sounds)
Could solve that problem get a MPC with a Sound module, boom, you know have a MPC with all the triton sounds on the sound module
You obviously just want to be a lazy dude using the same preset sounds everyone else is going to be using, its cute for a while, but down the road your going to be like ok, I want to start sampling and making my own sounds and that 96mb of ram is going to come slap you right back in the face
You act as if you have a MPC you have to sample, you don't, you don't have to program a damn thing either, just get loaded up on sample cds your sound collection will far exceed the old sounds on the workstation, you don't have to only use samples either I use my MPC to control the sounds on my motif rack or my triton studio, so I have the best of all worlds
P.S. Don't think either that just cause you have sounds your going to be making hot shit with them, your going to start out garbage, and the road of composition is longer and harder than sampling, hell sampling is a great start to learn how to compose
Learn how not to knock stuff till you try it, especially if you don't know what your talking about
Sorry if I repeated some shit, I'm tired, but Im sure I got my point across
P.S.2, Before the elite sampler defender jumps in my ass, lemme clarify that Sampling and Composition are two seperate skills sets that intertwine and both require skill, combination of both will only lead to better production
