hd problem with mpc 2500

got the Hitachi 80 gb and installed it in my mpc 2500.
At booting it starts spining.
In "load" mode apears the hard disk option so everything ok so far.
When just trying to create a folder on the hd, after "do it" it says "drive invalid" and also no comunication with the pc trough usb. Windows sees just the flash card.
Anyone has the same problem?

I've read some problems on trhese boards about people having problems creating folders on HD's. Where did you get your HD and how much did you pay?

...did you format the harddrive with the mpc? if not, then do it...

Geeza! Make sure what you connected your HD properly... And formatt then..
I use the sameone...got no problem...

what do you mean RESET?

A hardware reset on the MPC.... sorry - factory reset.


Incorrect terminology - excuse my imprecision.

itwould be great if u could tell us uv got this fixed or not cus im about to buy a Samsung HM060HC i was told it works
