Why is it that when I track into Logic the levels get higher when I hit record? When I press play in Logic the MPC plays along with it and all the levels are below clipping. When hit records the levels suddenly jump and it clips.
How do I stop this?

Feedback problem from not disabling monitoring?
Where do you run main outputs from the audio interface? If you use a mixer, make sure they´re not routed to the same master, bus or other output that your feeding into the inputs.
