Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I searched the forum.. and it seems other ppl r having the same problem.. the funny thing is that I could actually hit the pads and cause the sample to double hit.. very consistently.. like every single hit I am making is a double hit.. I found this strange.. it almost seems to be a feature of some sort.. but there is no documentation of that.. and I guess if u hit directly at the center of the pad, this won't happen? what is the cause of the double trigger anyways?

Have you had your mpc f or very long?....that tends to happen to most if not all of us when we first get started....my first month with my baby, I almost drove myself crazy but after awhile as you get used to it you'll be slappin them pads with ease...In a nutshell it happens, and after some time with your machine, it'll go away as you learn how to hit the pads right....hope that makes sense....

Its the way you strike the pad. You need to strike it. Quickly

oh yah.. I understand.. I have figured it out.. but I think the double hit can almost be a feature...except there is really no way fo controlling the repeat.
