My mpc crashes when i try to write the 1.22 upgrade 2 it and i had to restart it. What damage will this do to my MPC? It seems to be as normal when it went bk on, but i tried upgrading again and it still froze! (on 98% when writing)

Help!!!

i would back up your storage media (flash card for example), then format the card with the mpc.

Then reset the MPC by following the manual. once its reset, load the OS onto the flashcard, and try installing again.

should go on fine then.

reset the mpc? Do you mean turn the power off?

I had exactly the same problem after installing more RAM. Managed to get it to work using the the Akai CF card that I had previously formatted with the OS. I think it could be the OS download though. Maybe try JJ OS??

To install the new OS:
Turn off the MPC and insert your CF card with the new OS.
Hod down the Window key and turn on the power.
You will get a screen asking you if you want to install the new OS......
This should solve your problem.
