Man, it's been a day and you haven't figured it out yet? You need to do 1 of 3 things here...
1. Crack open your manual (download it from akai's website if you need to) and start reading up. People on this forum are not going to answer very basic questions about the most basic of operations like that that are in the manual. Sometimes you need to help yourself out a little bit man.
OR
2. Purchase the MPC 1000 Tutorial that MPC-Tutor offers for sale on this site, it will teach you a lot more than the manual, and won't be as boring for you. (Although I must admit that when I first got my MPC, I was excited to read the manual even though I already knew how to do most of the stuff on it.)
OR
3. Experiment. Go into TRIM and start hitting buttons to see what they do. You know it's possible to chop like you want to, so find the button that goes to the screen you want... there's only so many options...
Like I said, people aren't gonna wanna help if it seems like you haven't put forth the effort to figure it out yourself first.... especially for something real basic like that.
Also when you come back and reply to your own post complaining about how no one has helped you yet, it makes you sound like a spolied brat. No one is obligated to help you out son. Around here you need to be gracious and nice if you want to get some help. No one wants to help a whiner.
