Yeah, I'm 33 and have a 15 yr old son. He is in band (trombone) and is interested in playing the guitar like me but, he's not too interesed in hip-hop. Hopefully this will change in the future. I was alot like him... at one time I didn't like hip-hop either. And in this era of hip-hop, I don't necessarily blame him for not liking it.

My little 3 year old nephew loves palying on my mpcs and he even likes to play the keys over his beat

The funny thing is that he actually knows how to play a beat using the right samples, i.e. kick and snare.

For this reason i setup my Axiom 25 (built like a tank), he can bang on the pads and play the keys without breaking my main boards.

LOL...I feel you. I don't think anything will beat the early 90's as far as hip hop goes...those were the good ol' days. :D
