difference between a 4000 & 4000xl

difference between a 4000 & 4000xl

is the white the 4000 and blue the xl? remember this forum is called "getting started" so please dont kill me... i tried to do some searches but couldnt find anything...

ps - aksys lists alot of file types, is there a document explaining what is what? all i found was in addendum 1.45 it says .akm is a multi and .akp is a program (thats it). i think i've seen a .pgm in there too (maybe mistaken - its not mentioned anywhere in any akai manual or guide)...

The different colors has nothing to do with it being an xl.

If it comes with extra installed options = xl, is my guess.

What those options are, I don't know. Someone else can answer.

i don't think there is an official "xl", though there are different models of the 4000, just diff. colors and options.
