This is pissin me off. To save seqs, I found you have to create a new folder and save as a project file. Is there a way to create a new file using the mp or do I have to do it from the computer via usb? Thanks in advance

i'm baffled myself because, I have had my mpc for months and as of today when I loaded up my Live Set - i stumbled upon these errors and like 2 other errors related to saving. WTF? Doesn't sync "correctly" and saving can also yield unstable results? This is just weird.

I wish I had an anser for you because I have been doing nothing different for months and then all of a sudden - BAM - like 4 or 5 errors in one day? Fvckin gay OS. I'm running 1.1 because I prefer to have a machine that syncs as a slave to Digital Performer.

What OS are you on?

1.22. The thing is, I worked on this couple nights ago and can't remember exactly what I did and wouldn't want to recreate it, so anyone who knows how to get around this let me/others know! i'd greatly appreciate it.

I read on this forum to SAVE ENTIRE MEMORY... but then again, i have seen someone have issues with that as well... who knows. How lame we have to even find ways around saving so we dont lose our work.

yo shane
i experienced the same 2days before my last live set.
Fortunatly i found the 'wrong' thing relatives to the PGM only and a few samples, not the sequences. I also saved in a new folder the all internal memory as usual....but It happens to me everytime i backup something on my mac via usb.
Bein the pgms i rebuilded em quite fast, anyway this saving bug have to be fixed asap.

ps-shane did u get a chance to download that mpc live set?

Might not be a bad idea... i do like having everything available on the Mac as well though... it's worth the consideration though... what size card can the mpc handle? 2? 4 gig?

i use a mac, and couldnt believe akai had put a usb1.0 version reader in the mpc, and it was soooo slow with a 2gb cf card, not that i was transferring anything larger thatn say 50-100mb a go, but it was still vslow, 'cos i use a laptop i got a pcmcia cf card for the pcmcia slot, and it behaves well. i just pop it out of the mpc the push it in the mac, and as long as its ejected from the desktop its fine. very quick too. i'm sure a usb2.0 reader attached to any usb port on a mac/pc would be an improvement.

On my MAC is def about the USB transfer files, i bought a 4gigas CF to use for moving/backup files from MPC to MAC, this way i never had probs after backup.
Im sure that someone on here long time ago explained how to recover the wrong files, it was about hidden temp files or something similar...dunno i cant find it again

this happens to me periodically when im moving beats in and out thru usb without turning my mp off. i found for me atleast, when i turn my mp off for a minute after i take out and put the desired beat in that it doesnt do this.
