Diggin Roadtrip

I have been fantasizing about taking a road trip all by myself and just hittin a bunch of little towns/smaller cities that don't have a demand for the type of records I'm after. I have this Kerouac-ian dream that I'd roll into a town, let the thrift store owner know I'm looking for old vinyl and he'd point my to some old man that has a stack of gems in his basement... hahaha!

Has anyone ever been on a diggin road trip? Got stories/trophy records as a result?

plenty ...my advise is dont say anything just as where the records are and shut up you get into more trouble if you try to show off , just keep it to your self

just remember to budget more gas money per day towards the end of the trip, as your car is going to be weighed down by all these classic rap records and unplayed soul 45s...

I love going to record stores in other cities, just seeing the different types of music people are into there...

never really set out to go to any podunk towns looking for gems though... maybe one day...
