does anyone use a foot switch with there mp, i see the options if you hook up a foot switch, but does anyone use it, say to etc........assign it to a pad, that's maybe your kick drum and play the kick w/ your foot....maybe this is not possible, but all kinds of ideas r flowing thru my head,

yeah it's possible. there's quite a few functions that can be assigned to the footswitch. take some more time with your mpc and you'll realize that. if you're still unclear about it, then check out JJ's website. all the info you need to know is there.

im new to the mpc but i use pedals and switches with my keyboards.

Its another controller that don't need your hands (they are always usefull)

I use mine quite alot. It's great for flying into record without moving your hands from the pads and breaking your performance. The other thing I use it for is the scratch effect.

I use footswitch to the repeat note function, and it's really great. You keep all your fingers to control the pad's while your foot is putting note repeat on and off. Really better than the tap/repeat button on the MPC.

Peace

they're pretty cheap new, $10-20 here in Canada.

I use mine mostly for going into overdub, but also
for recording samples in record Mode (set to f5 button).
Which I find helps when recording any instrument that
requires 2 hands (which is most instruments).
