ok to hook up MPC format SCSI HD to Mac OS X?

Hi,

I'm just wondering if anyone has experience hooking up a MPC formatted (and partitioned) SCSI Hard drive to Mac OS X. I would be connecting it via a Belkin SCSI to USB adapter.

I've heard people have problems when connecting MPC formatted drives to OS X - ie losing data, partitions, not being able to "go back" out of folders on the MPC, etc.

Would I be better off trying to get a USB ZIP and use that to transfer my files from OS X to MPC instead? (I want to eventually do the internal CF upgrade like so many are doing but can't afford the reader/don't have the time right now...)

Yes! and even more yes on the cf upgrade

oh for gods sakes please do not hook your HDD to OS-X.
It will hurt you badly.

i vote +1 for the USB zip to transfer, remember to stick with 8 or less characters and format the zip in OS-X as fat16.

Then i votee +1,000,000 for the CF reader.

im doing mine someday soon i hope.

Thanks for the advice guys, I figured this was the case and haven't been stupid and hooked it up!

Shopping around on craigslist for a USB zip...I know they're on ebay but its always nice to get one locally and not pay shipping/customs.
