Buying Question

There are some MPC 2500s scattered around the internet that are listed as brand new but also include an already installed 128MB RAM + 80 GB Hard drive. Does Akai install it before sealing the box? Or is it something like what VST does?

I bought my 2500 brandnew from my dealer with the 128 MB Memory a 40 GB HD an the CD-Drive but had to install the things myself (it was the time when AKAI gave the CD-Drive for free but not even this was installed)
So I don´t think AKAI ever pre-install any of these things, but your local dealer may have done it before shipping or selling it.
But i rather do these things myself before let someone else fingering on my brandnew MPC.

All of the mentioned things are also very easy to install on the 2500.

Yeah, all 2500's come stock, so they probably mean brand new (but open box).
