As-salaamu aleykum!(peace with You!)

Nope! 8)
First,i had a 2000XL,than i sold it and bought a 1000 only for filters and FX and i must say that 1000 is asno goos as other mpc(pads, design and so on...)
After that i bought 60 from ebay about 5 month ago and never going´ back
 I feel more comfortable with 60,it is more simply to learn on sixty(basically 3000 is tha same machine) than on other mpc!!!
Tha beauty is in tha simplicity!!!

The 3000 is a big difference to learn cause everything is worded different and menu options are different and choppin takes alittle bit longer cause you ain't got no auto chop shit!

i started on a 60, someone tricked me to sell it ( i.e. i did not spend enough time loving this machine for what it really is!) and i messed with a 1000. now i am going back to a 60 and why?... well there are so many detailed responses to that one here. chopping is just bit of maths that is really easy. i strongly recommend a 2 sampler for it though, like an asr, chopping on that is even easier! and that way yo got a nice 16/12, with effects which you can switch up whenever you like! just take your time and love the machines and they will love you back. believe me mpc 60's, s950, emaxes, sp12's and 1200's got mad love to give, even in '07. don't let visual displays fool you. the proof is in the sound and not just how fast you can work! i'll admit that i work faster on a 1000 but the sound is really something that don't cut like the 60.

I played with a 2000xl for a while and couldn't really get with it, but as soon as I got the 60 it was on! I don't think you'll have a hard time with the 3k.

3k is way easy to learn compared to the 2000xl.
