Update time:

Had a major meet with Akai yesterday and DVD is on time for release. Not sure of date yet as new 'ahem' features have been incorporated in the DVD.

Hang in there guys, this will be worth it.

I have been up to my nuts in finishing a whole bunch of new content for MPC Samples. Beat Production e-book will be ready for release in 1-2 weeks, so has held up the DVD.
Article for Sound On Sound and 8 new packs have also weighed me under, so hang in there.

Thnx

I decided on completing this ebook as it had been in the pipeline for ages. Additionally, many users still like pdf tutorials as our forum polls have shown.
All future tutorials will be in audio/visual and dvd formats.

The JJ os is a hard one as it is not a supported os and therefore no support or customer care can be provided for it by Akai. For this reason I do not want to encourage users to install it, have potential problems and get no support for it from Akai. Any problems caused by the os would also render the warranty null and void.
I would be irresponsible if I catered to this situation.

I personally do not endorse it as I know the history and circumstances that led to it's development, and I also know of what is in the pipeline for the future.

Z, are you implying an Akai OS update to compete with JJ's? Do you know any details on it?

Unfortunately I can't say any more until certain aspects of my and MPC Tutor's relationship with Akai has been publicised and endorsed.

Sorry Toh. Would love to say more.

Wutup Zuka! How bout an update on the dvd? How are things coming along? When can we expect to see it?

In spite of your reluctance to place any focus on the JJ OS. I still think it would be awesome if you covered it on your DVD seeing as how alot of your potential customers are most likely lurking on these forums who are aware of its existence, and habitually use the JJ OS.

We've all been waiting for this dvd for a while, hopefully it will be released before I decide to sell my MPC 2500 and replace it for a 60 or start using soft sequencers for everything.
