help me out here. PLEASE

in the middle of saving a beat. small stack of blank cds on a spindle.. about 35 or so tilted over onto my MPC and no a lot of the buttons are not responding. half are ..half or so arent. the f4. f5.f6 ..
the cds are not that heavy and this was SO random that i am in complete and utter awe. is there anyway to test the buttons or something.. this is the most bizarre thing i have ever seen.. WTF

Which mpc u have? Sometimes u have to press really hard on them and it will work. I take it u are using a older model mpc if so then Im not surprised to hear that the buttons are giving u trouble.

WOW that's fked up

i don't know what your issue is. do all software stuff you can do first (reinstall os, factory refresh, etc - both are in the manuals i think) and essentially determine whether or not it's hardware

if it is hardware, sounds like you need to replace some tact switches. if you find out that that's the problem, i can mail you some tact switches cuz i have literally 100 and wouldn't mind mailing you some as a favor if you give me postage

thanks man..
i took this b*tch apart and started crying.. i got it down to its bare essentials and just started jiggling some wires. turns out it must have worked. BUT.. i f*cking broke a button doing it.. i gotta hit up Numark or VST for a plastic button. anyone know if there is another place to get some quick.. dont want to wait a week.
