mpc2000 fx

yo i got a couple of questions about my fx card in the mpc2000(non xl). For one, is it the same exact fx card in the 2000xl??? Also, how many of yall have this? Do you make good use of it? I pretty much only use the filter and dist effects and that only goes to use on my kick and bass line. Sometimes i use a slight echo or reverb. Anyone have any tips on using my effects to their full potential?

It is the exact same......the best tip would be "try any and everything"......don't think of it as most......they think they are working with garbage.....I say it has helped me out too many times to count it out!.........even though an outboard effect processor might be better but the MP does it's thing!

I haer some people saying the efects are wack, but I like em. To me, reverb is reverb..an echo is an echo. You can really bend some sounds up with it.. not as good as the ASR (X) effects, but for your basic drums, the MPC effects are good. I use them all the time, in fact, I rather use them over the effects in my roland vs-1880 cuz their so simple to use.

theyre easier to use than my mixers effects too. Theres been a few times when ive really experimented with the mpc effects, you can get some crazy sounds there (you can also easily over do it!)
