wierd midi prob?

wierd midi prob?

ok so im using VST host along with my mpc 2000..
i can trigger the sounds on my pads..but it also plays the sounds on the program?..what am i doing wrong?

what are you setting the mpc track to? MIDI then the channel number? and its still playing whats on the pads?

its working on 1a and b..but its also playing the sounds on bank a&b..

oh you meant your mpc programs... :oops:

thats weird because (i may be wrong) if youre using MIDI instead of DRUM, you shouldnt hear your internal MPC sounds..

i got it on 1a but i still heard the program sounds

you have to make sure in the 'track' field that its set to MIDI and not DRUM..

sounds like you are in DRUM mode.. put the cursor on the actual word 'DRUM' and turn the data wheel till its on MIDI.. then select your midi channels.

thats what im doing...
im using m audio uno..the in & outs of the uno are in the in/out on the mpc..then my keystation out is in midi in on the mpc...i have it set to midi a..and its still playing the vst along with the og program sound

in the mpc1000 there's an option to turn the 'pad to internal sound' off, maybe you have something like that?

yup. i use a 2000 and it should be as simple as changing DRUM to MIDI and selecting the channel number. like EMF said

I was defending my mod throne crown which in some peoples heads "mysteriously" and without my knowledge "always" seem to be up for grabs.

well obviously it is set to midi if it triggering the sounds from the vst right?pls im not an idiot..ive read the manual..so wtf is goin on?
