I believe the MP7 is multi-timbral. You need to go into the MASTER menu and set it to Multi-Setup and see what channel the MP7 is on and make sure the MPC is set to the same one. You are getting sounds, that's good, so now you have to determine where to set the MP7 to Multi. I think the three settings are: Omini, Poly and Multi. It needs to be set to Multi, hope this helps.

Each Midi channel can represent the same SOUND in a preset or different ones. You have to tell the module what to playback. The channels are represented as 1a-16a and 1b-16b. So with that said:

You could have

Ghost Preset on channel 1A

Dog Bark Preset on channel 2A

If you want to utilize the SAME sounds on more than one channel you have to dial in that preset to each channel. So you could have Ghost on channels 1A and 2A, but you have to dial it in. I have noticed polyphony problems with using the same preset on one channel with complex patterns, but you can use the same sound on different channels and not have that problem. I think you are trying to use a KIT preset and you want Snares, BD, etc on all different channels. Not a problem, just dial up the same preset (kit) for each channel and you can utilize that sound. If the sounds are not the same preset, then go back and check your settings on the Module or the MPC. hope this helps
