Installed the pad fix last week. I'm very pleased with the result. I personaly like the feel of the new pads very much. It took me some time to install though, and some fine tuning afterwards. This was time well spent. The installation videos are to the point and very helpfull.

Semi-off topic, but whatever.

Would the pads from the MPC1000 pad fix fit on an MPC500 if you cut one of vertical rows off? I don't really like the feel of the standard pads on the 500 to be honest.

good, i'm glad.

consider the "bonus" which is unfortunately not with pictures
it's just a matter of dropping some silicone glue down on the reverse side to really lock it in place for the long haul. probably not necessary but it's something i did.

lion - i may cast some other mpc pads, softer ones. don't hold your breath though... they should fit, but since these pads are made special for these sensors, i would have to make a whole new mold.

Hey everyone, I've been following the thread and thanks nym for the APS. I am hoping to purchase an MPC 1000 very soon.

I know a solution to the pad problem has been found but i was wondering if the pads on the MPD16 would make suitable replacements.

HAs anyone ever opened up an MPD16? in terms of pad style, is it similar to the older version on the 2000's ?
