Every MPC 4000 owner answer this poll!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately JJ cant do the 4000 OS simply because he doesnt have the access to the code. He already said he'd never do the 4000 OS. And AKAI refused to reply to any of us about letting the original coders continue where they left off.

So basically this means - no, there wont ever be another OS update for the 4000. Blame AKAI unprofessional.

i would pay for an OS update.

if it would provide more features, i would be even happier.

i don't like the idea of paying for just bug fixes... but i don't think akai is going to keep updating our OS.

but i will still pay for bug fixes, if it came down to it. only if it were developed independently, like the JJ OS. -if akai charged me for an os update that only contained bug fixes, i'd tell akai to shove it.

I would pay someone £100 for a new os, for turning the qlink function into assignable quick edit sliders for pitch in semi tones, attack release, cutoff, resonance, etc. a la the roland mv.

Its gonna be hard for a third party developers team to make it like this with all the current functions + extras. It will take years... IMHO no one will succeed. And if so, its gonna be way more expensive than a hundred dollars. If you want to upgrade your dino-old MPC60, you pay 50% more and the technology on the MPC60 is way old and the unit is simpler to develop an OS for.


IF theres a new stable OS with the current workflow still in it, I would definitely pay, though..

If any of you guys dropped a new OS with useful new tools and sound manipulation methods, it'd sell like hotcakes and the prices of 4000's would skyrocket on ebay prolly.

Okay genius' why dont you all contact tutor and make an MPC 4000 OS account fund. Everyone submit $350.00 toward development through paypal and get it done. If yall want it so damn bad HIRE SOMEONE TO DO IT. If you come at someone like we have $5,000 and want this...... THEY'LL FUKING DO IT. Rake up some money and get it done and stop bitching every other thread on why you dont have a new:
