Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Recently I ordered two 16MB Ram cards to solve the problem of the cracking/distoring sounds while playing beats on my MPC.
http://www.mpc-forums.com/viewtopic.php ... di+problem
Changing the RAM card didn't help bit. At first I had one 32MB card. Tried to replace it with 2x16MB. Didn't work a all.

And to make things worse, now all of a sudden my midi seems to be bugging after replacement of the Ram cards. My MPC is connected to the JV1010 soundmodule. From the ten midi track being used for sounds of the JV1010 only ONE can be heard and not even the correct sound.
So all the samples, kicks and snares are correct, but now I have a freaking midi problem. Midi cables are connected properly so that can't be the problem. Can it be I f@#cked up my MPC by replacing the Ram card.

Somebody please help me, cause I'm going Gnarls Barkley in here

ok, thats what i meant, i am not familiar with the jv , but when i meant multi mode i meant multi timbral mode, which perform mode probably is.

midi problem solved. JV1010 was in wrong mode. Only thing left is to get rid of the crackling sound

elaborate more on the crackling sound, when does it occur? it could be the ram but it could also be at the output stage,
