drum creating software????

hey guys im kind of new to this and im having a little trouble installing my drum kits....i heard theres a program to make drums kits on the computer then sending it to the mpc? am i wrong?...and if there is where can i get it a little help here?

For mpc1000 I think it's called 'pad 187'.
