Is it just me or is anybody else having problems with the wheel´s speed increase in trim mode? It alway start to accelerate when im almost where i want to be, often overriding the sample start setting while adjusting the sample end. I think zoom in/out and shift + whee is enough for speed control, this thing irritates me like hell.

quite the same problem but the contrary...when i want to erase q 'link data in grid edit, q-don't increase the speed...

Yes, I just noticed this in the last few days - is kind of irritating.

yeah i keep doing that too...

just like scrolling along nicely, nearly there, then whooopp!

halfway through the sample!

maybe the increased speed could be achieved by holding down the shift
button with the data wheel?

same here, it's not usefull... i'll tell jj.
shift + jog works just perfect, no nee for acceleration

i usually record little parts of the sample that i want to use, then i use chop function so i don't have to rotate the sh!t out of the data wheel

It's annoying, but I have gotten used to it.

agreed, unnecessary to have "velocity" spinning as someone else said i'm almost to where i need to stop and suddenly it starts going faster. unneccessary.

Has anyone reported this as unsatisfactory to JJ?

not yet. i will when i find a bug in 4.70 (if! things are clean so far)

here's something else:

with the addition of bit convert, i often have this problem:

since i work fast, i'm flying around trim and after converting my sample's bit/sample rate, i want to then trim it. so i set start/end and go to hit discard so i hit EDIT and then spin my data wheel all the way to the left quickly (to get to discard) but lo and behold i'm actually still in the SAMPLE BIT parameter of BIT CONVERT

and i end up hitting "DO IT" in BIT CONVERT" as opposed to DISCARD.

this could be solved if the cursor jumps back to the edit menu function (the part you scroll to get to different edit functions like discard, extract, etc) rather than staying on the bit convert parameter

both this and the trim velocity scroll thing are not bugs per se but either unnecessary or clunky to work with/around.

i'll mention it. meanwhile, help me find a bug so i can report it.

I haven't understood this and haven't noticed it either. You mean that the faster you spin the wheel, the faster the value changes? Or the longer you spin it, the faster the value changes?

after a certain time of spinning, the speed suddenly kicks up to "2nd gear"

Aight, understood. That doesn't make much sense. Thanks.
And the bit convert thing happened to me a couple of times, too.
Should definitely be fixed.
