Will Zip250 disks work in a Zip100 drive?

sorry if this is a stupid question....

i've been using an iomega zip250 scsi zip drive with my mpc2000xl for the past couple of years. the other day, the zip drive finally broke. now i'm looking for a new zip250 scsi drive, but i'm having a really hard time. i can only find zip100 drives. does anyone know if the zip250 disks will work in a zip100 drive? any help would be greatly appreciated.

i know the 100 goes in the 250.....

The 250mb disc will fit into the 100mb drive, but the drive won't recognize it. The 750mb disc is bigger than the other two, though, and won't fit into either the 100mb or the 250mb drives.

The 250mb drive is backwards compatable with the 100mb disks.

i dont know about that! i brought some 100mb discs to my boys lab. he has a 250mb drive, and it didnt recognize my disks.

Damn, that sucks, cause I was thinkin about coppin a 250mb Drive and using my old 100mb disks with it. I know the 250 drive is supposed to be backwards compatable. Thats what it says on Iomega's website. Actually it says that the 750 drive will read and write onto 100 and 250 disks as well... I didnt know that. Maybe I'll cop a 750 drive .
