MPC 2000xl midi ins & outs

I have a lexicon lamda and nuendo program i wanted to know how to use the mpc 2000xl midi ins & outs to control the software from the mpc what
should i do and what can it control within the program?

get my beats started the right way. I'll do the research so far ive
had the mp for 2 weeks now and im addicted like a beat crackhead.Do you think
i should invest in a sound module for effects or any other reason.

what do you want to do within nuendo? use vsti's? by the way, vsti's are virtual instruments. vst's are virtual effects

or are you trying to track your beats out and stuff? sound modules aren't used for effects but for more sounds. strings, pianos, pads, guitars, etc..

you would use an effects processor for effects like reverbs, delays, echos, etc.

when i first started out, I had a Proteus/1 module and my mpc. I would normally say before you go buying up a bunch of gear, learn how to use your mpc first. but do what you want. just dont go spending tons of money for gear that you wont know how to use yet. save your money and learn what you got first. matter fact, once you learn how to sync nuendo and the mpc, then you can find some free vsti's to mess around with or something if thats what you wanna do...

Yeah! Good looking out artful i've learned alot so far but i dont want to
rely to much on vinly samples and breakbeats. Im going to start playing
with the vsti's like you said and save some chedda. I do want
a decent sound module for a reasonable price any suggestions.

well either way, you'll need a way to play the sounds either from the vsti on the computer or from a module. i mean, you can use the pads to play stuff but you're limited that way. so you'll probably need a keyboard or something. but see, i dont want you to start thinkin with gear lust. just take your time learning everything and then figure out exactly what you NEED.

but if you're into keyboard beats more then sampling then i'd say some kind of module or vsti is a necessity. maybe a decent module to start and a cheap midi keyboard to start out wit. learn the sh!t then move up from there.

Good advise i already have an oxygen midi keyboard but im going
to make sure i make the most out of the mp before i move on
im learning new things everyday so ill stick to that and sync everthing
