AYo watup I got mad soundfonts that I just converted into akp using awave and extreme sound convertor. Now when I run them into bluebox, then into the mp. The loop points are ridicilous the mapping assignements are perfect. But the loops arent the same. WAs really gooood with this. I been on this all daay

Not all conversions are on point with the original sample and sample data within. ie, maybe akp doesn't do loop points. So they'd get lost in conversion, check the capabilities of your software, adjust your workflow accordingly.
I hear you man. I just got awave now I'm thinkin of gettin the whole extreme sound converter if this would work. OR maybe vsampler. But you think its the akp then that messes it up. If I just convert the sf2 to pgm I;kk have to to do the assigenments manually because bluebox is the only program that will map akp to pgm that I know of. This is crazy I just got the keyboard the cables I'm dying to use this vibraphone joint u feel me lmao.

I was jsut using akp as an example though. I just wanted to say that not all conversions may equal up to a straight on conversion of every little detail/configuration into the next format ya know.
I've been using awave for years now, maybe you didn't look at the specs too closely here. Awave can support over 210 formats. I use it to convert wav's to asr10 formats, triton samples and programs and mpc2kxl samples and programs. It does everything for me and more. AKP you say?

I seem to got this vibraphone thing to work. Your right on the akp. When its set to note on it doesnt stop when I let go of the pad. It seems to play like a one shot. I still hear the little pops when its loop though. Aslong as there isnt no spaces on the file names. I guess it works pretty well from what I hear so far

The pops might be artifacts from the conversion, I've had that happen to me before. I just throw the loop/sample into a wave editor and fix it from there (for me, sound forge).

ayo good lookin out wit the info. I have succesfully manage to get these soundfonts and other formats to akp then to pgm. Also if anyone planning on using there vst sounds on the mpc. I suggest using vst convertor from Extreme Sample Convertor. Just click how many keys u want and the patch. And itll record it to akp. Then you can send this to vsampler and auto loop all your sounds ready for bluebox. This what I do, hope this helps out anyone anyone plannin on using a mpc as a soundmodule. Peace

Man, I've gotta try this later. It would be great to get some of my bass/synth/Arp sounds into the MP

I have converted some SF2 to AKP to use in my MPC1000 via Bluebox and had the same problem with loops..Lampdog is right : you have to edit the loops in an editor..don't change the loop points tho, just copy & paste the looped portion a few times.. There aren't really any artifact induced by the conversion just I noticed the MPC1000 can't play very small loops well

I've used vsamplers auto hard does a quick batch for samples. Also noticed the small loop problem. I thought it was the waveforms, im not actually sure. I stick to samples mostly now and long loops to be sure.

ok ok, so i understand this a little but seriously, have there not been tons and tons of:
"hey does anyone have some uncleared samples or drum breaks from timbo, kanye, primo or dilla they want to hand out?"
its the same d@mn thing.

I understand where you're coming from, but that still doesn't allow you to break the rules.
When people start threads asking for uncleared samples, those threads end up getting locked along with a warning not to break that rule as well.
If you don't want to pay for software, then I suggest you ask for it somewhere else.
