would anyone else find it profoundly useful if you could toggle note repeat on/off?

if you could have an option to either leave the normal function of it (hold down for repeats) or select toggle mode so when you hit note repeat, and it behaves as if its being held down, and you just hit it again to turn the toggle off

and this same method could be used for loops assigned to pads, you could get a bunch of patched phrase loops and assign then to the pads and just toggle the them on or off and because they are patched phrase they would all lock up (you could have a hardware equivalent of ableton live!!)

this seems like it would be an easy to implement feature that would add a huge dimension of expression and widely expand the versatility of the mpc

you can even think if it as a realtime time correction

would any of you use this if it could be implemented into jjos?

does anyone else think it sounds frightningly smooth and futuristic to do your beat live without t.c. and then at the end of the song or "beat" kick on note repeat to 1/8 and just play the same beat you were just playing live but in dangerous robot mode?

yeah, that's a pure mpc-izm that i do all the time... all sloppy and then to ultra-slick--it gets you deep inside on some "man vs machine" trip-out factor...

Some cool Boss RC-50 looper action there!
My mpc hasn't been getting as much exercise since I picked one up, but they do work pretty nicely together. They're super fun for making live loop music like that.
