I have MPC 2500.
I play some sequence and record it to computer.
I play seq and rec it again.

Looking in computer- every time my MPC play whith different timing.
In 1-st SD is early than bar, in 2-nd SD is later than bar (not always- sometimes).

Other MPC have same timing? (say 2000 or 3000)?
OR same sequence shood be same in feel every time?

You have to set the timing resolution to correspond with the type of beat you're working with.

maby I say somethinfg whrong
What I mean:

You record beat in MPC. QUANTIZE IT!!!

press pley and start recodrd wave file in computer.

Try again and record SAME seq to computer. COmpare 2 records.

Sequenes is not identical. if you move 2 sequences to start and turn on grid on computer you'll see: sequences is different and its not in grid of computer, and 1-st "feel" not the same as 2-nd
Do you understand?

Privet, kak dela?

What are you using to sync your MPC with your computer when you are tracking (MIDI Clock, MTC, etc.)? Are you sending MMC signal from your computer to your MPC?

What kind of audio interface are you using? Does it have decent ASIO drivers? As it could be a latency issue.

By SKlogic Fri Jul 27, 2007 9:12 pm
NO SYNC, just internal MPC timing

audio interface digi 002. Latency not metter. I sync wav files whith first drum sound

So I assume you're just playing the MPC and recording manually?

You should sync your computer with your MPC with MIDI Clock or MTC so everything plays and records on time and in sync with each other.

You don't understand me.

may MPC (whithout or whith computer) play sequcence 2 times and have different "feel".
I speak about MPC timing- not about sync whith comp

My mistake.

That is strange. Maybe a malfunction, you might want to get your MPC checked out by a tech. I've never experienced any problem like that with my 2500.

can you record one sequence to computer twice and send me to mail SKogic(dog)mail.ru?
don't metter wat kind of seq.
Try to rec hat by 16-th. Thats all what I need :-)

Spasibo!

Oh I see, if that's the case then move one or the other to match the grid. Plus you can designate the computers resolution to match the mpc's. I would'nt expect everything about the recording software to be perfect. It possibly could be the audio driver selected that's causing this offset. My best advice to you would be to LEARN YOUR GEAR/SOFTWARE thoroughly.

it is not the whole shift pattern (offset). I mean the move of a different notes inside pattern early or later than absolute grid.
And 2 times it's happen different

Humanize effect- understand me?

I know you stated that you've quantize the sequence (on the mpc) but at what resolution? And about the humanized effect, are you saying you're not using any quantization at all? Because if the right reso was set in the first place you probably would'nt be here seeking a fix. I know if I have any intentions on laying down a beat mixed with alternate resolutions (ie: 16th swing & straight 16th), I'll make sure that it's together first before it goes to tape (or HD in this case). And I'm pretty sure you're going about it this way too, but apparently there's something not set right with either your host program or the sync options. See if you can post the settings you're currently using and more than likely you'll get a viable response.

soryy man, I am not so good in English. Maby I told You something wrong.

I record one track in seq- say Hi-hat.
I use time correction in mpc whith 16. No swing. No offset (early or later).

I start record computer whithout ANY sync anp play a MPC. Stop.
I repeat record to computer whitout ANY sycn.
I move 2 audio region on computer and sync it by FIRST HI-HAT SOUND (manualy move region- start point of each 1-st hat is indetical).
I looking to pictures and I see- 16th is not 16-th in sequencer (each note of MPC-s hat moved +- ideal grid) and 2 audioregions is different by timing.
How I can explain You- I don't understand.
Host program and SYNC options is not IMPORTENT!!! I use logic pro if you want to know
