I am new to the mpc 1000. I am trying to upload the newest version off of the jj website. I downloaded 4.79 to my computer. I then put in my flash card that came with the mpc . I downloaded it to my card put my card into the mpc and pressed mode+pad3 which is save. I never got a number to put down as for my pay pal. The mpc screen didnt even look like the one on jj's page when i saved. I am sure i am doing something wrong. Please let me know. thanks

You'll get a code in your email for the JJ OS.

How to update:

1. Download the MPC1000 OS from our website to your computer

  2. Insert Compact Flash into MPC1000

  3. Switch the MPC1000 on

  4. Go Load mode, then press USB (F4)

  5. Connect a USB cable between PC to MPC1000 (display will change from "Status=Not Connected" to "Status=Connected")

  6. Please copy a file(mpc1000_v307.bin or mpc1000_nv47x.bin) to CF card.

  7. Once the file has been copied, disconnect the USB cable

  8. Switch the MPC1000 off

  9. Turn the power on while pressing down the WINDOW button

 10. Press the REC button - the MPC1000 will start processing the update and will then re-boot automatically with the new OS

This is taken directly from the jj os site. The link says "How to Update".
Try searching a little first. It will save you some time, besides waiting for a response.

I am having a similar problem, however I am following those instructions and it is still not working?

Is it possible my MPC is locked?

Make sure you guy are copying the file to the root of the cf card. Download JJ OS from website and save it to your desktop. Connect the mpc to computer via usb cord. Press Mode pad 2, then usb. Now you should have heard windows recognize the MPC. When you look at the MPC in Windows, under My Computer, assigns it a drive letter, Let's say E: for this example. Copy the file from your desktop and open drive E:. Paste it to the root, do not put it in a folder. Now JJ OS is on the CF card.
"Safely Remove Hardware" drive letter E: my clicking on the usb sync icon in windows taskbar. Stop E: and windows will tell you it's safe to remove hardware. Now turn off the MPC. Hold the window button on the MPC, now turn it back on. It should come to the boot screen stating new os found, do you want to install. Press Rec and there you go.
