I didn't understand sampling until...NOW

I have been making beats for a while now and never really got into sampling. I always thought sampling was for people who couldn't play their own music.
BOY WAS I WRONG!!! I tried sampling from a big box of rock records
and found sampling was harder than I imagined...
So I stopped sampling records.....until....I bought some Funk Soul type vinyl and chopped some drums. I made a beat that is better than anything I've ever created. EVER.......
Now I am ADDICTED to sampling and diggin' for new sounds

I always heard music in my head a certain way, but my sounds never really allowed me to put it together that way.
Now I can sample a certain drum kit and get better grooves, even though I'm still hittin' the pads the same as I always was

I give mad props to all of the crate diggers around the world
