I read in the book that the mpc can only be reckognized by windows me and up..

Is there anyway around this to get my mpc to work with windows 98 second edition? Can anyone help me? I would appreciate it.. Thank you!!

I think you could get a CF card reader and hook it up to your PC. As long as the CF card is formatted on the MPC you should be able to put it in the reader attached to your PC and do any transfers and then put it back in the MPC. MPC readers are quite cheap also. Someone correct me if i am wrong as I have not used a CF reader nor have I used Win 98 for a long time.

You can also go to the micro$oft website, and download a driver for standard USB storage device. don't know the exact name, but win98 doesn't have this driver by default.

Oh,so the comp flash reader would connect to the usb in the back of the computer and that would let my windows reckognize my mpc?

The CF reader would connect to the usb port and it would act as another drive. Drive F. Then you would be using it just like a floppy drive on your PC. You just switch the CF itself back and forth, no need to hook up your MPC and stop your flow.
