I just found out that I could get an LO-FI sound by speeding up a sample
like +12.0 and then resampling the sound. After you've resampled the sound then you just pitch it down the same value as increased it with.
The faster you pitch it up the more Lo-Fi the sample gets!
Lots of producers used to do this back in the days to squeeze in as much sampling time as possible from a vinyl record. Check dj shadows early work out! you'l find the Lo-Fi effect there!
