Keyboard triggers samples in Mpc and Reason at same time?

I am using reason as a sound module, I am using my mpc 2k xl as the midi sequencer. I have my axiom 49 midi controller hooked up via midi and usb cables to the mpc and computer, and its all hooked up correctly. The midi channel in the mpc and the midi channel in reason are set to the same channel. I have program off on the mpc. I press a key on my the midi controller and it triggers the sound in reason and it also plays the sounds loaded into my mpc. I know that there is something very simple that I can't figure it out.

(I saw someone had asked the same question in an earlier thread, and they told him to turn off program in the mpc, but that did not work with me)

Yo i got that same setup but i have a MPC 2000 and i cannot get my MPC to work with Reason. Could you explain to me how to do it. I have my Keyboard going to my Computer via USB. I have my MPC connected to my M-Audio Interface via MIDI. I've been trying to get it to work for a couple months now.

You have to change it from drum1 to midi

I already have the Drum:1 set to MIDI: 1

check page 53 of the manual. you're looking for the feature called soft-thru. good luck.

I have it set to midi not drum one still triggering both mpc and reason sounds at same time?

Im having the same trouble. The only way I was ever able to use my MP with reason was to set it to the port as the master. But messing with the advanced midi i was able to somewhat sync them to play as one with the mp being the drums and reason the sounds but the timing never was spot on. I need help

I don't know either, I thought it would be as simple as turning off PROGRAM, and setting the selected track to a MIDI track and setting the correct midi channel in the MPC 2000xl to match REASONS channels, but I guess not? Somebody has to have had this same problem and found out a way to solve it.

Thank GOD, I figured it out! I turned the letter M (multi record mode), to the letter S (single record mode) in the column to the left of the column that says MIDI, and that stopped my controller from triggering both reason and the mpc sounds at the same time.

Anyone know any information on how to program an Axiom to be able to utilize the rotary and sliders with the MPC or is that not possible??? Also, I know you can use the Axiom hooked up to the computer via USB without a power cord, can I get away with that and use a MIDI cable cascaded to the MPC so I can use My MPC and Reason at the same time or do I still need to get a power adapter and go back to using my Turtle Beach USB MIDI cable?
